Attica - Harlan Hanna, 58 Rt 1, Attica, died at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday in Community Hospital at Williamsport. He had been in failing health 4 years. Mr. Hanna was a press operator for Allith Corp at Danville, Ill. He was a member of VFW at Attica and Navy vet of WWII. He was born Dec. 1, 1920 in Wabash Twp of Fountain County, a son of Cleve and Leota Gouty Hanna. Survivors are the father of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Dare of Covington and Mrs. Vernon (Marie) Snoddy and Mrs. Ralph (Berniece) Vaughan both of Rt 1 Covington; a twin brother, Harold Hanna of Perrysville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Deverter Funeral Home at Covington with Rev. Edgar F. Allen officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
